Beschreibung: Ed has spent the past eight months living and working in Germany having completed a European Union Leonardo da Vinci funded two month course in Saarland.
This course involved a language course tailored to students wishing to enter the German workplace and a one month internship, which was spent working within the project management department of a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
Qualifikation: Prior to moving to Germany, he studied Psychology BSc at Southampton Univeristy, where he participated in a number of different research projects concerning cognitive psychology, and more specifically, spatial navigation strategies and depth perception.
However, on completion of the degree, he decided to follow a passion for languages gained from travelling, and undertook a Trinity College London TESOL teaching course in Zamora, Spain.
From here he moved on to Valladolid, Castille y Leon, where he lived and worked for the following two years as an English teacher in a private academy. Lessons were devised and given to students of all ages and abilities.
During these two years he also worked as a freelance translator, operating for the most part in conjunction with El Museo Patio Herreriano, a prominent modern art gallery. A number of other projects were also carried out, including the editing and translation of research videos for a pharmaceutical company in London.
Now living in Hanover, Ed divides his time between freelance teaching for two separate academies, learning German, consuming vast amounts of soup, going to the gym, reading, writing, day trips to quaint German towns, and considering his next holiday destination.
